Mamie Mae Tindell

February 12, 1913 — May 29, 2003

TINDELL, MAMIE Mamie Tindell, age 90, of Waco died Thursday, May 29, 2003 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 10am Monday, June 2 at Rosemound Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Blackshear officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Sunday, June 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Tindell was born February 12, 1913 near Milford. She married Lois L. Tindell August 16, 1952. He preceded her in death August 17, 1989. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Clayburn Gunter, Robert H. Gunter and Charles Wilburn Gunter. She retired from Marathon Battery in 1974. Mrs. Tindell was a Baptist and former member of United Daughters of the Confederacy. Survivors include daughters, Joan Ekdahl and husband, Chuck of Placerville, California and Mary Janek and husband, Lloyd of Dallas; sons, Wayne Dewey and wife, Marsha of Waco, Gene Tindell and wife, Nancy of San Antonio and Ronnie Tindell and wife, Ann of Hewitt; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lillie Osborne, Tiney Lorene Holder, Annie B. Fletcher, all of Waco, Lucille Ivy of Waxahachie and Maxine Whitney and husband, John of Amarillo and numerous nieces and nephews.
