Marshal D. Fox May 21, 1917 July 15, 2008 Marshal D. Fox passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in Granbury, Texas. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 18, at Western Heights Baptist Church with Marshal D. Fox, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey. Mr. Fox was born May 21, 1917, in San Saba, Texas. In 1937, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry, and in 1944, his Master of Education degree in Agriculture, both from Texas A & M University. He began his career teaching at various high schools in Texas. He served in the Navy, and taught returning veterans after the war. He went into the Foreign Service, where he later became Agricultural Attache. He and his wife, Lena lived in four different foreign countries where he was assigned: India, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama. They moved to Waco in 1977. Marshal was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church, where he served for many years as a deacon. He is survived by three children, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
