Mary Evans November 25, 1937 - November 30, 2015 Mary Evans of Waco passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2015. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 4, at Bosqueville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Snowden officiating. Her graveside service will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Mary was born November 25, 1937, in Waco, Texas, to Mary Addison Wood and Langston H. Wood, Sr. She was proud to be a member of the Waco High Class of 1955, and received her bachelor’s degree in education from TCU in 1959. Mary married the love of her life, Charles Evans III, on July 25, 1959. Mary was very supportive in helping Charles open their business, Redwoods, Inc., and continued to work part time with him until her retirement in 2005. She also worked for Rio Brazos Co-Op as a special education teacher, retiring in 2001. Mary will be remembered for her devotion to her husband and family, her passion as a special education teacher and her dedication to uplift and serve her students with disabilities. Mary was an active member of Bosqueville United Methodist Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Evans, III; and two granddaughters, Grace and Hallie Burns. She is survived by her son, Charles Gregory Evans and wife, Cynthia, of Bosqueville, her daughter, Angela Evans Burns and husband, Jeb, of Gholson; grandchildren, Caroline and Cooper Evans and Jubilee Burns; brother, Langston H. Wood, Jr. and wife, Carol, of Crawford; and many close cousins and family members.
