Mary Frances Weeks February 4, 1924 – December 29, 2005 Frances Weeks passed away Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Quality Care of Waco. Services will be at 11:30 am Saturday, December 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North Cemetery. Mrs. Weeks will be in state after 2:00 pm on Friday, December 30th. Frances was born February 4, 1924 in Murchison, TX to Benjamin Allen and Mary Margaret Mayfield. She worked as a homemaker until 1965 and began working as City Secretary of Beverly Hills, TX and then worked at the Mexia State School until her retirement in 1989. She is survived by daughter, Betty Smith of Waco; sons, Clark McMurtray and wife, Peggy of Garland and Joe Wayne McMurtray and wife, Camille of Houston; grandchildren, Lisa Talley of San Antonio, Nikki Duncan and husband, Jason of San Antonio, Chad Smith of Waco, Amber McMurtray and husband, Matthew Langton of Dallas, Chris McMurtray of Dallas and Hayley Smith of Tyler; great grandson, Jeremy Duncan of San Antonio. Also surviving is one sister, Oleta Dodson of Murchison, TX and two brothers, Claridge Mayfield of Murchison and Harold Mayfield and wife, Barbara of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Warren McMurtray, daughter, Janette Talley and sister, Ophelia Hobbs. Pallbearers are Clark McMurtray, Chris McMurtray, Hayley Smith, Chad Smith, Kirk Minter, Matthew Langton and Philip Gwin.
