Mary Frances Woodard Newton May 31, 1925 - August 25, 2012 Mary Frances Woodard Newton of Midland went to Heaven on August 25, 2012, in Midland, Texas. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 29, at Robinson Cemetery with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mary was born May 31, 1925, in Waco to Rodie and Fannie Woodard. She attended Baylor University and the National School of Business, and worked for the Veterans Administration for a number of years in Waco and in Houston. She was also employed by the U.S. Army, Fox Studios in Hollywood, California, and retired from the executive branch of Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Tex. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Newton; her parents; and three brothers, Rodie, Cecil and Joseph Woodard. She is survived by her daughters, Trish Bugg and husband, George, of Midland, and Mayda Cameron and husband, Jerry, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, David Denning and wife, Julie, Jonathan Denning, and Sydney Everett; one great-grandchild, Sophie Denning; and several nieces and nephews.
