MARY LOUISE ANHEUSER HARRISS entered this life on October 19, 1920 and left us on March 10, 2001. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Rev. Ben Disney officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6-8 PM Tuesday in the Garden Room of the funeral home. She was born in DuQuoin, Illinois and spent many years in the Midwest before she and her husband moved to Waco in 1971. Her immediate survivors include her loving husband and best friend of 59 years, James Harriss and their daughter Sandy and son-in-law Joe Thompson. She also is survived by a sister, Wilma; brother, Charles and several nieces and nephews. Mary was a registered nurse and spent her entire life giving care, love and comfort to others both professionally and personally. She was a supportive, loving wife and mother to Jim and Sandy and Joe. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Her family knows Mary would want to thank those who gave her such wonderful care throughout her struggle with breast cancer. The family would also like to thank the staff of Hillcrest Baptist Hospital for the many kindnesses extended to Mary and them throughout her stays and homecare. Although we know she is physically gone from us, we know we now have a new guardian angel caring for us. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
