Mavis Ada Falls, a longtime resident of the Waco area, passed away surrounded by family in the comfort of her home on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at Central Christian Church with Brian Coats officiating. Mavis was born September 28, 1935 in Brush, Colorado to the late Grace and Elmer Hollinger. She lived the majority of her life in Waco as a loving wife, nurturing mother, and wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. Mavis lived a life surrounded by love of family, the love of God, and love for life. Mavis was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ellen Lisman; and her love and forever partner in life, Thomas Rae Falls. She is survived by her children, Kim Relyea and husband, Richard; Marilee Prewett and husband, Mark; Callie Hakim; Kim Kimberlin and husband, Dr. David Kimberlin; Ryan Falls and wife, Sarah; and Kerry Gray. She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Kami Relyea and children, Vera and Ford; Lindsey Relyea Richardson and husband, Brandon, and their son, Grady; Byron Relyea and wife, Cierra, and their daughter, Madison; Phylisia Rendon and husband, Habib; Megan Lovins and wife, Jennifer; Will Kimberlin, Claire Kimberlin, Katherine Kimberlin, Kendall Young, Jordann Young, Chip Falls and Ashley Falls. Mavis will forever be remembered for her loving presence which would fill the room around her. She enjoyed exploring the many reaches of the world with her husband, Thomas. Both Mavis and Thomas were avid philanthropists throughout the local community. Mavis had a strong devotion of faith in the Lord that impacted every aspect of her life with her endless charities to the community and the church. Her defined grace and strength will forever be instilled in each of the lives she touched as she loved the Lord Jesus Christ.
