Mildred "Sue" Roberts

Mildred Sue Roberts August 13, 1924 - September 15, 2015 Mildred "Sue" Roberts of Waco passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at her residence. Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room with Rev. Kip Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Sue was born August 13, 1924, in Merkel, Texas, to Charlie and Paralee McCormick. She retired after 23 years with the City of Waco and continued to work at the Heart of Texas Builders Association for eight additional years. Even at 91, she loved keeping in touch with friends and family via social media. Sue was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Shannon Lynn Freeman; two sisters and one brother. Sue is survived by her daughter, Deborah Annette Roberts Cox and husband, Ross, of Waco; two granddaughters, Tonya Brooke Senter and husband, Greg, of Cedar Park, TX; and Shelley Ann Freeman of Waco; five great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Hudgens; and many nieces and nephews. She was "Memaw" to everyone she knew. Memorials may be made to Meals-On-Wheels or The Waco Boys and Girls Club.
