Myrlene was born November 30, 1931, in Cameron, Texas, to Riley Hunt Whittington and Eva Bell Whittington. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She grew up with one sister, Helen; and three brothers, Riley, Mose and Irving, all of whom have preceded her in death. She was well known for the many night clubs she owned in McLennan and Bell counties including Buddy Moore's Western Club, with numerous others throughout the years. Myrlene was the most giving woman, who took people at their word without any written agreements to help them out. She would give her last dollar to help someone. She was loved very much by family and all who were lucky enough to know her, and she will be missed tremendously. She will have a special place in Heaven. Myrlene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Roberts, who was the love of her life. Ray was the previous owner of the Showtime Club. She raised five children and had two stepsons: Jackie Wayne McDow, Nancy Sue and fianc, Tracy Wilson, Pat Sharpless and husband, Wayne, Betty Campbell and husband, Ernie; Sandy Hays and husband, Wes; Keith Roberts, Randy Roberts and wife, Terri. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Joseph Brooks, Nicole McDow, Tiffany Daughtry, Kristy Ferlet-Helton, Ray Balli, Tyler Balli, Mat, Rhonda and Roger Hays, April and Randy Roberts, Ashley Roberts and Jeramie, Shelley and Tonja Bledsoe; and 17 great grandchildren; a loving sister-in-law, Bobbi Whittington; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Texas Home Health Hospice, who cared for Myrlene in her final days, with special thanks to Shawn Shaffer, RN, Sharon Evans and Lori McKee.
