Naomi Taylor September 3, 1920 - June 5, 2012 Naomi Taylor of Waco peacefully left this world for her heavenly home in the early morning hours on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Mrs. Taylor was born September 3, 1920, in Lexington, Texas, to Robert Mathis and Ida Denman, who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Taylor attended the public schools of Waco, and she also attended Paul Quinn College. She worked for 58 years at Ridgecrest Country Club as the Ladies RWA golfer assistant, where she was beloved by all. She retired from the country club in March, 2011. While there, she became a mother figure to many of the employees and members and will be terribly missed by them all. She was married to the late David Taylor. They had two daughters, Gloria Farrow of Waco, who became a most loving and attentive caregiver, and Gwendolyn CorDova, who preceded her in death. An honored and loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, her family was most important to her, and the love, respect and honor were given back to her two-fold by them all. She leaves to celebrate her passing, her daughter, Gloria Farrow; her brother, Charles Nichols Helen of Las Vegas, Nevada; her nine grandchildren, Dionne Johnson of Austin, Jacquelyn Thompson Michael of Mesquite, TX, Jamey Farrow Monica of Rowlett, TX, Elizabeth Fontenett of Austin, Clyde Farrow II Lauren of El Paso, Tracy Farrow of Austin, and Robin CorDova, David CorDova Tishaun and Mark CorDova Adrianne, all of Los Angeles; two aunts, Hallie Husk and Deola Lax of Cleburne, TX; a niece, Trina Nichols of Compton, California; a nephew, Derek Nichols Liz of Kent, Washington; special friends of the family, Macie Taylor, Billie Nash, Teaberta Black, Kathe Goss, Sheila Blanton, Ruth and Pancho Gonzales, and Muriel and Alvin Phillips; and a host of other relatives and friends.
