Paula Ramirez Gamiz June 7, 1932 – June 30, 2007 Paula Ramirez Gamiz passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at her residence. Mass of the Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 3 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Roman Burgos as celebrant. Burial to follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Rosary service and visitation with the family will be held from 7 – 9 pm, Monday, July 2 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Paula was born on June 7, 1932 in Tejamen, Durango Mexico to Severo Ramirez and Blasa Cruz. She grew up most of her life in Mexico and in 1953 married Macario Gamiz. She moved to Waco with her family in 1980 and has lived here ever since. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, eight children at infancy, a son, Jose Pilar Gamiz in 1983 and two grandsons, Efren L. Gamiz and Jorge Gamiz. She is survived by her husband, Macario Gamiz; brother, Leonardo Ramirez; six daughters, Lucia Gamiz widow Antonio Ramirez, Ofelia Gamiz and Margarito Soto, Victoria Gamiz and Joe Romo, Jauna Gamiz and Juan Piedra, Guadalup Gamiz and Arnulfo Pinon, Maria Dolores Gamiz and Juan Barcenas; six sons, Lupe Gamiz and Gloria, Paulino Gamiz and Maricela, Antonio Gamiz and Maria, Sergio Gamiz and Elvia, Felix Gamiz and Gerardo Gamiz; grandsons, Hulises Gamiz, Bobby Gamiz, Cris Castro and Tomy Torres. Total of 42 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Paula will be greatly missed by all her children and grandchildren and everyone that knew her. May she rest in peace.
