KRUSE, PEGGY Peggy Kruse, age 62, of Woodway died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at her residence. Services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, November 30th at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jimmie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, November 29th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Kruse was born June 30, 1939 in Lynette, AL to Percy and Eunice Smith. She graduated from West High School Class of 1957 and attended Southwest Texas State in San Marcus. She married Jim Kruse January 28, 1961 in West. She was a past president of many organizations including Midway PTA, Fort House/Historic Waco Foundation and Waco Study Club. She was a member at First Presbyterian Church of Waco. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and Grammy. Survivors include her husband, Jim Kruse, Sr. of Woodway, mother and father-in-law, Monroe and Dora Kruse, daughter, Julie Schrotel and husband, Chad of Waco, son, Jim Kruse, Jr. and wife, Carrie of Waco, grandchildren, Chase, Connor, and Carson Schrotel, Sarah, Jake, and Emma Kruse, sister, Mary Beth Bailey, brothers and sisters-in-law, Royce and Janis Berger, and Wayne and Diane Prince, brothers, William Smith and wife, Sieglinda and Jerry Smith and wife, Nancy, 12 nieces and nephews and many friends. Pallbearers will be Bob Peacock, John Hawes, Jeff Smith, Brad Berger, Andy Horn and Roger Gwin. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Waco, American Cancer Society, and Fuzzy Friends.
