Robert Franklin Smith July 20, 1949 - November 6, 2013 Robert Franklin Smith of Robinson went to be with our Lord Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 9, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Pastor Tom Warnok officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Bob was born July 20, 1949, in Brownwood, Texas, to E.F. and Shirley Smith. He graduated from Kimball High School and University of North Texas. He married Regina Osterhaus on July 21, 1978. As a young child he developed a passion for baseball thru his dad's love of the sport. Bob continued to instill the love and skills of baseball by coaching his boys, as well as many other young boys; some of whom went on to be drafted into professional ball. He had a successful career in commercial property management that took him to numerous cities but eventually brought him home to Texas. He was never happier than working the last few years with the wonderful people in the City of Waco. Bob was a deacon at Cowboy Church of Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Regina "Rae" Smith of Robinson; daughter, Jennifer Perry and husband, Darrell, of Haslet, Texas; sons, Brandon Smith and wife, Kate, of Eureka, Missouri, Nathan Smith and wife, Stephanie, of Phoenix, Arizona, and Bryan Smith and wife, Katie, of St. Charles, Missouri; grandchildren, Clay, Bryce, Abigail, Wyatt, Dylen, Casen, and Nolan; and sister, Sandy Seale and husband, Charles, of Arlington, Texas.
