Robert W. Freeman, born on July 2, 1939 in Waco, Texas, to T.C. Freeman, Sr. and Ruby Thornton Freeman, went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2007 in San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be held on Friday-August 10, 2007 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco, TX 76710. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday-August 11, 2007 at 3:00PM at the funeral home chapel. He graduated from Waco High School, where he was a two year letterman in basketball. Robert graduated from UT in Austin where he received a BBA in Finance. A successful amusement park manager, Robert generated the idea of bringing musical talents to the amusement parks around the country. He was also an accountant, and the first individual in Texas to pass all four sections of the CPA exam the first time. He enjoyed coaching baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and was an avid golfer… he was truly a sports enthusiast. Robert was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Cronin Freeman; daughters, Lynsey and Ashley Freeman of San Antonio, TX, and Leslie Freeman of Arlington, TX; sons, Robert W. Freeman, Jr. and wife, Kristen of Las Vegas, NV and Joseph Freeman of Arlington, TX; brothers, T.C. Freeman, Jr. Karen of San Antonio, TX, Charles Freeman of Dallas, TX and Kenneth Freeman Joanna of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Freeman; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
