Roselyn Bloomer February 9, 1920 - May 31, 2011 Roselyn Bloomer of Waco passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at a local nursing home. A private graveside service will be Tuesday, June 7, with Rev. Chris Mesa officiating. Roselyn was born February 9, 1920, in Clay County, Georgia, near Fort Gaines. She was the daughter of Walter D. and Julia Vic Norwood Bellisle. She married Sgt. Henry P. Bloomer Jr. April 4, 1942, at Turner Field, Albany, Georgia. They settled in Waco in 1966 following Maj. Bloomer's retirement from the U.S. Air Force, where she worked as a dental office manager until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1986; and her brother, Walter N. Bellisle. She is survived by two sons, Henry P. Bloomer III and wife, Kay King, and Daniel L. Bloomer and wife, Linda; four grandchildren, H.P. Bloomer IV, Kirsten L. Bloomer, Geoffrey C. Bloomer, and Jonathan L. Bloomer and wife, Dora; two great grandchildren, Mia Nichole and Justin; and one brother, William A. Bellisle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Austin Avenue United Methodist Church or to your favorite charity.
