Ross Watson Rogers June 16, 1953 - January 3, 2015 Ross Watson Rogers of Crawford passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, at his home. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Wes Wellborn officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Ross was born June 16, 1953 in Waco, Texas, to Guy and Dorothy Rogers. He graduated from Richfield High School in1971 and Baylor University in 1975 with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism. As a programmer at American-Amicable Life Insurance Company, he met Judy Sides. They married July 21, 1984. In 1994, he founded and has since operated Systems Development and Consulting in Waco. He took great pride in meeting the computing and networking needs of many wonderful clients. Since 1981, he has served as a reserve deputy for the McLennan County Sheriff's Office. He was a passionate teacher of the Bible with a desire to share its truths and gave God the glory for the many blessings in his life. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Judy; sons, Travis and Clayton; parents-in-law, Jimmy and Helen Sides, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet and Mike Cooper, all of Crawford, Texas; several cousins and many friends.
