Sam Moses April 14, 1928 - April 22, 2011 Sam Moses of Waco passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at his residence. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 25 -at Waco Memorial Park with Bill Austin officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be all day Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Sam was born April 14, 1928 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Roscoe and Rosalie Moses. Entrepreneurial accomplishments included Mastercraft Jewelry, Moses Plumbing, Moses Construction, Moses Water Company and Moses Pawn. Sam brought the first self-service car wash to Waco as well as self-service gas and self-storage units in changing Waco's business landscape. Sam has been a lifelong Christian in service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and a Master Mason. He was also a selfless and dedicated family and businessman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Rosalie Moses; brother, Johnny Moses and sister, Mary Chandler. He is survived by brother, Bobby Moses and one daughter, Cynthia Moses who believes her father to be one of the greatest men who ever lived. Other surviving relatives include Billie Moses, Elaine Obenoskey, Chase Aaron Duckworth, Vivian and Randall Parker, Justin Moses Smith, Tommy Chandler, and Sidney McCune, Nathan McCune and Travis Chandler.
