Sidney J. Liddicoat June 12, 1920 - January 12, 2015 Sidney J. Liddicoat of Waco passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at his home. His memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, at Crestview Church of Christ with Minister Scott Talley officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, at Crestview Church of Christ Community Center. Sidney was born June 12, 1920, in Redruth, England, to James and Mabel Liddicoat. He graduated from high school in Alameda, California. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 -1945. He worked for TP&L for 35 years, retiring in 1985. Sidney was instrumental in starting the Community Care Ministry at Crestview Church of Christ and continued serving for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marjorie Corl. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Virginia; daughter, Cheryl Reid and husband, Joe, of Waco and son, Rod Liddicoat and wife, Brenda, of Sherman, Texas; grandchildren, Mike Shelley and fiancee, Casie Feight, Tonya Smith and husband, Steve, Melissa Blaisdell and James Reid and wife, Amanda; great grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Aidan Shelley, Sidney Smith, Ava Shelley and Adelyn Reid; and several nieces and nephews.
