Susie Margaret McNamara December 1, 1915 April 20, 2011 Susie Margaret Sugg McNamara, 95, passed away on April 20, 2011 in Waco, TX and was buried on April 21 by her loving family in the Bosqueville Cemetery near the McNamara family homestead. A memorial honoring her life will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 26 at Lakewood Christian Church with the Reverend Jack Mullins and Reverend Elizabeth Reeves officiating. Margaret was born Dec. 1, 1915, in Huntsville, Alabama. She came to Waco from Alabama at the age of six with her parents, William and Daisy Taylor Sugg, and three siblings. She married T.P. McNamara of Bosqueville in June 1942. Margaret was devoted to her faith, family, and community. She was a founding member of the Lakewood Christian Church, the Waco Symphony Association, an active member of the Waco Cotton Palace Association and Waco Coterie Club. Margaret and T.P.'s love of snow skiing began in 1933 and was a major part of their family's activities, skiing throughout Colorado, Austria, and Switzerland. Her passion for new adventure and travel continued throughout her life and she remains an inspiration to all who loved her. Margaret was preceded in death by her three brothers, a sister, her daughter Betti Rose McNamara Driscoll, and her husband, T.P. She is survived by her two sons, Mike and Parnell, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Our family is grateful for the love and care provided to her by the Uni Murphy family, Ana Varela, and all of her caregivers.
