Thomas Paige White August 3, 1942 - May 21, 2012 Thomas Paige White, 69, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 21, 2012. Celebration of his life will be through a private family service and burial at a later date in Gordon, Nebraska. He will be buried next to his wife of 46 years, Linda Jo White, who preceded him in death on April 23, 2011. Born on August 3, 1942, to Virgil and Myrna White in Gordon, he married Linda Jo White on August 6, 1965, in Hay Springs, NE. He graduated from Hay Springs High School and Chadron State College. He taught school for 37 years, most of that in the Bartley Independent School in Nebraska. He was a loving, kind, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He moved with his wife from Nebraska to Texas in 2003 to be near and enjoy time with their son and grandsons. "New Grandpa," as he was lovingly called by his grandsons, enjoyed spending time watching and attending their basketball games, school activities, and time outside when the boys stayed at their home. He loved boating, fishing, hunting, and working in his woodshop, where his talents allowed him to create exceptional wood furniture. He was also an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan and was a member of King Memorial Methodist Church in Whitney, TX. He is survived by his son, Bradley Thomas White of Moody, TX; and grandsons, Austen Jett and Michael Bradley White of Robinson. We would like to thank Dodie Love, Park Plaza Rest Home of Whitney, and Odyssey Hospice of Hillsboro for the wonderful care they provided our father and grandfather. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in the "Memorial Guestbook" at www.WilkirsonHatchBailey.com.
