Tom Sassatelli, 52, passed away on September 1, 2024, at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco, TX.
A Celebration of Life event will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Buffalo Wild Wings (2312 W. Loop 340, Waco, TX 76711). Everyone who knew him is welcome to attend. Please wear your Dallas Cowboys gear and bring your favorite Tom memories to share.
Tom was a beloved only child, born on January 22, 1972, in Monmouth, IA. He grew up in Arizona, where he graduated from Dobson High School in Mesa and the University of Arizona in Tucson. After graduation, he worked at America West Airlines just long enough to meet his wife, Amy, and the two were married on September 26, 1998. Shortly before their marriage, Tom started working for the Sherwin-Williams Company, where he remained for 27 years, eventually becoming a District Manager in Waco, TX. Tom was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and a spectacularly terrible golfer. His phone was full of photos of the family's three dogs and four cats.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Michael Sassatelli, Sr.; and his mother, Sue Ann Countryman Sassatelli Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Sassatelli; son, Nick Sassatelli; daughter, Molly Sassatelli; and stepmother, Carole Sassatelli.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family requests that you please donate a Kuranda Shelter Bed to the Waco Animal Shelter in his honor: https://shelterbeds.org/donate/308918
