PLASEK, DOLLY Vadus “Dolly” Plasek, age 81, of Bosqueville died Friday, March 14, 2003 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 2pm Monday, March 17 at Bosqueville United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Willhite officiating. Burial will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 3-5pm Sunday, March 16 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Plasek was born December 22, 1921 to Charles and Jewel Easterwood High in Lott, Texas. She attended Rosebud schools. Dolly married Jerry C. Plasek on October 12, 1937 and they resided in Waco most of their married life. She and her husband, Jerry ran a café for a time called the Dolly Diner, hence, her nickname became Dolly. She preferred it over her first name, which few people could pronounce correctly. Dolly also worked for the old Sears store in the men’s department. Dolly loved fishing and picnics, watching birds, shopping, dressing up and growing flowers. She also loved her church, Bosqueville United Methodist, where she took an active part as long as she was able. She was an excellent cook and seamstress and a loving mother and grandparent. She was preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, brother, Elmer High, and great granddaughter, Jeanie Marie Rose. Dolly is survived by daughter, Jean Prause and husband, David of China Spring; grandchildren, Frances Rose and husband, Mark of Valley Mills and Charles Prause and wife, Robin of Valley Mills; great grandchildren, Leslie and Hannah Rose and Amy and Abby Prause; sister, Lois Smith of San Antonio; brother, James High and wife, Curtice Ann of Robinson and nieces and nephews.
