Vicki Diane de Graffenried December 22, 1943 – August 4, 2007 Vicki Diane de Graffenried passed away Saturday. August 4. 2007, at a local nursing home. Services are to be held at Wilkerson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Vicki was born December 22, l943, in Waco, Texas to Tess and Mary de Graffenried. From a toddler on, she was raised by her maternal grandparents, Percy and Eula Baxley. Around age six, they moved to Fort Worth; there Vicki attended school, graduating from Tech High School in 1964. She was a dedicated member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir. In the mid-eighties she and Eula moved back to Waco, sharing an apartment until Vicki required skilled care and moved to Greenview Manor. The staff at Greenview Manor took her under their wings and into their hearts from the beginning and treated her as family for the years she lived there, going above and beyond for her many times. They have our thanks and appreciation for all they did for her. We are also grateful to Bluebonnet Hospice for their care. She loved all things pertaining to Baylor University. Win or lose, she was a die-hard fan of her Bears. Participating in their program that places a student as a “Buddy” to special needs people brought her much joy. She also backed them Boys as a lifelong Dallas fan and watched every game she could. The Texas Rangers never lost her support either. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, loving aunts Frances Harp and Barbara Snyder. Survivors include her half- brothers, Mark Nevoit, Joe Nevoit, Sr., and Jason Nevoit; niece Angela Long, her boys, Jeffrey and Jonathan; nephew Joe Nevoit, Jr., his daughter Avery. Former sisters-in-law Jeannie and Louann. Three generations of cousins, and good friends especially Stefanie, Michael and Scott. Pallbearers will be Don Goldsmith, Don Harp, Russell Snyder, Jerry Smith, Donny Goldsmith and Daryl Goldsmith. Honorary Pallbearers are Jay Snyder and Albert Whitaker. Wilkerson-Hatch-Bailey
