Victor Lee Montgomery September 25, 1959 - August 21, 2011 Victor Lee Montgomery of Lorena went to be with the Lord Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Kindred Fort Worth Southwest. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 24, at Waco Memorial Park with the officiant, Msgr. Mark Deering. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Victor was born September 25, 1959, in Waco. He graduated from Midway High School in 1978. He was an honorary deputized U.S. Marshall. Victor was a true cowboy who worked hard all his life, enjoyed the simple things and lived the same way, was a man of many talents who loved to barbecue, and had a great sense of humor, quick wit, and charm. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Kent Montgomery; maternal grandparents, Victor and Lidma Hanus; step-sisters, Teresa Dawn Wingo and Jena Leigh Hammond; and special aunt "Aunt Bea". He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Jane and father, Danny Lee Hammond, of Woodway; sister, Lara Gaines Hammond of Morgan's Point; brothers, Michael Adrian Hammond of Austin, and Charles Otilla Montgomery III and wife, Tonya, of Groesbeck; step-brother, Mark Hammond and wife, Kathy, of Friendswood, Texas; best friend, Bo, his loving black lab; an uncle, Mike Montgomery of Waco; niece, Jena Hammond; nephews, Zack and Eric Hammond, Austin and Colton Montgomery, and Brandon Powell; and many other loving family and friends.
