Virginia Patterson Geist June 18, 1924 - December 31, 2013 Virginia Patterson Geist of Waco went to be with the Lord after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Bro. Nelson Head officiating. A private family burial will follow at Crawford Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 4, prior to the service at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Virginia was born June 18, 1924, in Cotton Gin, Texas, to James and Margaret Thomas. She worked at the V.A. Hospital in Waco for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Earl Patterson and Robert Geist; and grandson, Bryan Mauritzen. She is survived by two sons, James Patterson of Waco and John Patterson and wife, Martina, of Waco,; one daughter, Betty Mauritzen and husband, Mike, of Waco; six grandchildren, Angie Werley, Cory and Suzanne Mauritzen, Stacey Stabell, Brian and Jonathan Patterson; and five great-grandchildren.
