Virginia Lockridge November 1, 1926 - September 4, 2008 Virginia Lockridge of Waco passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2008. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Bert Mercer officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2:30-4:30 p.m., Sunday, September 7, at the funeral home. Virginia was born November 1, 1926, in Waco to Ford and Velma Roberts, and attended Waco schools from first grade and graduated from Waco High School in 1944. She married H.W. "Corky" Lockridge on July 17, 1947. Virginia was a longtime and active member in Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile, enthusiastically participating in MERAK TEMPLE No.104 Patrol Unit. Virginia enjoyed being the First Lady along with her Potentate husband, Corky, in 1997. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Lisa Friedli and husband, Dick; and her two grandsons, Richard F. Friedli II and Kurt Andrew Friedli. Pallbearers are Jay Baker, Mel Baker, George Brinegar, Jack Denman, Aubrey Farris, and Jake Roberts.
