CRAWFORD, WILBUR A. Wilbur A. Crawford, age 79, of Waco died Sunday, March 25, 2001 at a local hospital. Graveside services with military honors will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Mike Toby officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Crawford was born in Waco on April 10, 1921 and attended Waco Public Schools. His wife, Venice B. Crawford and his daughter, Patricia Ann Kopchia, preceded him in death. He was a WWII Army Veteran serving with the 36th Infantry Division, Company K, 143rd Regimen in North Africa and Italy. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and other decorations. He was employed by the V.A. Regional office, Waco, TX and V.A. office Corsicana, TX as Assistant Veterans Services Officer, he retired after 31 years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 2148, American Legion Post 121 Military Order of the Purple Heart, National Association of Retired Federal Employers. Survivors include: A very special friend and companion: Frances Bullock of Waco A son: Wilbur A.
