Windell David "Dusty" Essary

Windell Essary December 1, 1926 - August 29, 2013 Windell David "Dusty" Essary of Waco passed away at his residence, the morning of Thursday, August 29, 2013. A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, at Lakewood Christian Church with the Pastor James Cotten officiating. Dusty was born December 1, 1926, in Amarillo, Texas to James and Lee Essary. While attending Texas A&M University, he was called into active duty with US Air Force. At the end of WWII he returned to TAMU, graduating in 1949 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired after 33 years with Aluminum Company of America. Dusty was a member of Lakewood Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dora Essary; daughter, Alisa June and husband, Dave; grandchildren, Alison Moore and Christopher Moore. The family wants to acknowledge a very special friend, David Moore and Stephanie Cole, Dusty's caregiver. Also, the family wishes to extend our appreciation to Bluebonnet Healthcare and Bluebonnet Hospice for their care. Memorials may be made to Lakewood Christian Church.
