Alice Jo Griffith

Alice Jo Griffith July 10, 1941 - February 18, 2011 Alice Jo Griffith of Waco passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Alice was born July 10, 1941, in Anson, Texas, to Jarrett and Mary Thomas. She was a great homemaker, excellent cook, and awesome mother and grandmother, loved camping, fishing and being outdoors. Alice had a large family and loved all of them. Alice was a member of Kendrick Lane Baptist Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jasper Leon Griffith; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two sons, Roy Dale Griffith; and Gerald Wayne Griffith; and her daughter, Donna Deon Girnus, all of Waco; four granddaughters, Misty Griffith, Stephanie Griffith, Amber Girnus and Candice Martin; eight great grandchildren; her brother, Danzel Thomas of Stamford, TX; and several loving nieces and nephews.
