ALTA B. JOHNSON Alta B. Johnson, age 93, died Saturday, May 24, 2003. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27 at Waco Memorial North with Rev. David Story officiating. Ms. Johnson was born in Bell County. She was a long-time resident of Waco and lived in Fort Worth for the last seven years. Ms. Johnson was a member of St. John’s Methodist Church, now Central United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Friendship Class and United Methodist Women’s Dorcas Circle. Survivors include her son, Hal Johnson, Jr. of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Holly Abernathy of Keller, Texas, Shelly Lloyd of Dallas and Brent Rumph of Phoenix, Arizona; great grandchildren, Haden and Graham Abernathy; niece, Gene Ann Grant of Amarillo; and nephew, Charles Chastain of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
