Alyne Janice Pruitt

Alyne Janice Pruitt, 93, passed away June 30, 2026. Services were held Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Alyne was born July 31, 1932, in Krum, Texas to Albert and Myrtle Harvey. She was the middle child of three children.

Being born during the depression era, her life was hard, and it was a struggle for her family to survive.

On May 22, 1948, she married the love of her life, Bob Pruitt. They were married just shy of 74 years. Two children were born of this union, Roger Pruitt and Sharon Pruitt Wilkinson.

Alyne held many different jobs in her career. She spent many years as a dental assistant. She was a long-time member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard T. Harvey; sister, Mary Alyce Kemp; and her husband, Robert Lee Pruitt.

She is survived by her son, Roger Pruitt; daughter, Sharon Wilkinson; four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
