Barbara "Bebe" Tennison Patrick

Barbara Tennison Patrick went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2026.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco, Texas 76710. A graveside service for the family will follow on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Barbara was born in Clifton, Texas, on March 29, 1947, to Squire Joe and Barbara Tubbs Tennison. She grew up in Waco and graduated from Richfield High School in 1965, later earning a BBA from Baylor University. On January 29, 1966, she married Earl B. Patrick, the love of her life. Over the next sixty years together, they built a foundation of faith, family, and generosity, investing in kingdom ministries and in the lives of the many people they touched.

Barbara dedicated her life to raising her children and investing in the next generation of young families and individuals. Her sons and her four grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she cherished reading to her grandchildren and playing with them. She had a gift for decorating and creating a warm home for family and friends. Her faith was central to who she was, and Proverbs 3:5–6 anchored that faith throughout her life: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Barbara Tennison; her in-laws, James and Ruth Patrick; and her brother-in-law, Don F. Patrick. She leaves behind a family who will carry forward the torch she lit: her husband, Earl B. Patrick; son Brint Patrick and his wife, Terry, and grandson Noah and his fiancée, Hannah; son Matt Patrick; and son Ryan Patrick and his wife, Kelsea, and grandchildren Tennison, Harlow, and Jack.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to join their family’s generosity journey by giving to a charity whose mission speaks to your own heart.

The family is deeply grateful to the caregivers at The Delaney and The Grandson, and to Dr. Nick Schwedock and Lisa Lawson, PA, of Vespers Medical Care, for the loving care they gave Barbara over the past 22 months.
