Betty Flores Martinez September 7, 1932 - February 14, 2009 Betty Flores Martinez of Euless passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009. Mass of Christian will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, at St. Francis on the Brazos with the Rev. Roman Burgos as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Martinez was born September 7, 1932, in Marlin, Texas, to Phillip and Maria Esquivel Flores. She was a faithful member of St. Francis on the Brazos in Waco and will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother as well a dear to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Pete G. Martinez, Sr. She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Martinez of Carrollton, Jane Chapa and husband, Oscar, of Garland; sons, Pete Martinez, Jr. of Houston, Joe Martinez of Addison, Ronnie Martinez of Euless, and David Cox and wife, Jackie, of Austin; grandsons, Matthew Martinez of Waco, Steven Chapa and Danny Chapa of Garland; brothers, Lee Flores of Dallas, Jesse Flores and wife, Tracy, of Dallas, John Flores and wife, Molly, of China Spring, and Tony Martinez of Dallas. Pallbearers are Matthew Martinez, Steven Chapa , Danny Chapa, Oscar Chapa, Mike Smith and Johnny Flores. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
