Calude Vernon Etchison, Jr

Claude Vernon Etchison, Jr., 83, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2005 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 am Saturday, May 28, at Rosemound Cemetary with Reverand David Cozart officiating. Open visitation for family and friends will be at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey on Bosque Boulevard. Mr. Etchison was born March 25, 1922, in Bellmead, to Claude and Lucille Etchison. He married Nada Goss on October 31, 1942 . He was a salesman for Pure Milk Company before his retirement. He was member of First Baptist Church of Waco. Survivors include his daughter, Sheila Hilburn of Waco; two sons, William C. Etchison and his wife Margaret of Columbus, Ga, and Brian A. Etchison and his wife Jackie of Hewitt; a sister, Thelma Hallmark and husband Payne of Waco; and 11 grandchildren, Sean, Haley and Dylan Hilburn, Marcus Pitts; Chad, Holly, Jennifer and Evan Etchison; Kimberlea Zeruto; Lori Cozart and Lindsey Etchison; and three great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Royal Manor Nursing Facility for their care of Claude over the past year. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Waco.
