FINSTAD, CALVIN Calvin E. Finstad, age 76, of Woodway, died Monday, June 25, 2001 at a local hospital. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, June 28th at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with Rev. James Price and Rev. Stephen Rynearson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, June 27th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Finstad was born September 16, 1924 in Clifton. He was reared and educated in Waco. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during W.W.II. After the war he attended Baylor University where he received a BBA degree. He married Bonnie Wagner October 20, 1951 in Waco. He was a pharmaceutical sales representative for 36 years retiring in 1996. Mr. Finstad was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for the past 70 years. He was a volunteer at Harrison Senior Center and Caritas. Survivors include: Wife: Bonnie Finstad of Woodway Sons: Richard Finstad and wife, Carolyn of Hewitt David Finstad of Waco Brothers: Lloyd Finstad and wife, Joanna of Waco Martin Finstad and wife, Betty of Quinlan Bobby Finstad and wife, Doris Jean of Mayfield, KY Edward Finstad and wife, Barbara of Duncanville Grandsons: Joshua Ryan and Jordan Richard Finstad, both of Hewitt Several nieces and nephews Pallbearers will be R.O. Schroeder, Walter Becker, M.J. Whitehead, James Whitehead, Michael Mahler, and Bill Burleson. Honorary pallbearers are members of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Bebe Rhodes and members of Harrison Senior Center, Drs. Richie and Perez and their office force, Dr. Clay Sawyer and members of Hillcrest Community Hospice. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Improvement Fund or Hillcrest Community Hospice.
