Cecil Michael George

Cecil Michael George, 76, passed away March 4, 2026, at home. Services will be Tuesday, March 10 at 11:00 at Beacon Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 10:00 that day. Reggie Blake and Danny Dawson will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Cecil, lovingly known as George, was born March 16, 1949, in San Jose, California. He proudly served in the U.S. army and was stationed at Fort Hood. When he met his future wife through his buddy, Romie Ball. Cecil and Elaine Sandifer were married September 15, 1973, in Mexia, Texas, and lived their married life in Waco. He retired from Waco ISD and Waco Center for Youth. George loved fishing, sports, card games, computer games, and played every type of Uno there was with his grandsons. He watched every soccer game that his grandsons participated in. He was an active member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. Elaine and George served 14 years in the Children’s Church.

Cecil was preceded in death by parents Manuel and Angela George, sister Angela Casbeer, brother Richard George, mother-in-love Lorena Sandifer and her family members.

He is survived by wife Elaine, daughter Jenny and her husband Alvin Sr., son Brian and his wife Shelby, grandsons Alvin Jr. and Caleb, granddaughters Remi and Brynlee, nephew Aaron George, brother Manuel George and sister, June Davis. George was a loving family member of the Sandifer Bunch. He was a son to Elaine’s mom and a brother to each of her siblings, loving all her family as his own.

Pall bearers will be Brian George, Alvin Jr. Packard, Caleb Packard, Jason Ball, Dennis Cook, and Larry Pyburn. Honorary Pallbearers: Romie Ball, Mickey Cook, and Alvin Packard Sr.
