Clara Snodgrass

Clara Snodgrass, at the remarkable age of 100, went home to be with the Lord on June 9, 2026. Passing peacefully from her residence at St. Anthony’s Care Center in Waco.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rosemond Cemetery in Waco with Pastor Shane Mayberry officiating.

Clara was born on August 6th,1925 to Adolph and Ella Reich in Otto, Texas. She grew up in Falls County with three brothers and four sisters. She was the second to the youngest sibling and the last living.

She met the love of her life, Curtis James Snodgrass, and they married August 28th,1949, sharing 59 wonderful years together. Clara dedicated her life to being a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and friend.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, son Milton McGregor, brothers Daniel and Lee (Tate) Reich, and John Peters. Sisters Freida Peters, Lena Peters, Ida Peterson, and Willa Mae Snodgrass. Grandson Curtis Busby and Granddaughter Sherry Busby.

Clara is survived by her children, Mildred and Earl Smith, Rosa and Herman Busby, Curtis and Mickey Snodgrass, niece Linda Peters, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many great, great grandchildren.

Despite facing numerous challenges throughout her life, she remained optimistic and always looked at the bright side of things. She never gave up!

Clara drew strength and courage from her unwavering faith. God was a constant source and guidance for her.

She touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. She remained resilient, independent, and grateful to the end. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on in all of us.

Clara would say, "I’m blessed to have two families, (one indoors)- St. Anthony’s, and (one outdoors)-my family; I’m the richest woman in the world.”

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to all her family (indoors) at St. Anthony’s. She received exceptional care, support, and love. She was absolutely one of a kind. She will be missed but not forgotten.
