Don Sebe Lassiter passed away on July 18, 2021, in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10 am on July 24 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, with Rev. Don Minshew officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service at 9 am. Don was born February 14, 1933, to Mr. Henry Seaborn Lassiter and Ola Mae (Parker) Lassiter in Abilene. He graduated from Abilene High School and then attended Hardin-Simmons University. There, he majored in business administration, played trombone in the Hardin-Simmons Band and was involved in the Baptist Student Union. After graduating college, he married Cynthia Burkhart Lassiter in Ballinger. He became a Certified Public Accountant and eventually established an accounting firm in Olney, where he served on the Olney School Board, was a member of the Rotary Club and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Seaborn and Ola Mae Lassiter; his wife of 65 years, Cynthia Burkhart Lassiter; and his 2 sisters, Mary Schmidt and Ruthette Swift. He is survived by his 4 children: Alan (Jeanne) Lassiter of Knoxville, Tennessee, Gina (Don) Minshew of Ft Lauderdale, Florida, Terry (Vicki) Lassiter of Waco, Texas and Kristi (Miles) Phillips of San Antonia, Texas; as well as 13 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.
