Doris Marilyn Dennis of Waco passed away May 28, 2024, while residing at The Blake at Waco.


Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.


Doris was born September 3, 1926, to Herbert and Ethel Glazener. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Woodway.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnet Marshall Dennis on November 27, 1995; her parents, Herbert, and Ethel Glazener; her sister, Ruth Lee Bowden; and brother, Herbert Glynn Glazener.


She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Bess Mannas of Waco; and by one son, Larry Wayne Dennis and his wife, Elizabeth of Teague; and one daughter, Sandy Katz, and her husband Charles of McGregor. Doris is also survived by her grandchildren, Laurie Lane and husband, Lloyd, Robert Dennis, Amber Gonzales with her husband, Chris, and Ryan Back; her great-grandchildren, Lawson Lane and wife, Mallorie, Tyler Dennis, Lyndi Lane, Maddison Sessions and husband, Devin, Makenzie Chandler and husband Dillian, Caden Gonzales, Jacob Gonzales, Camden Gonzales, Cody Back and Justin Back; as well as her great-great-great-granddaughters, Myla Sessions, Trinity Dennis, and Hallie Lane.
