Dorothy G. Rogers

ROGERS, DOROTHY G. Dorothy G. Rogers, age 85, of Waco, passed away Friday, October 22, 2004 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, October 25, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Dorisanne Cooper officiating. Visitation with the family will be 3 – 5pm Sunday, October 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Rogers was born September 30, 1919 in Oglesby, Texas to Grundy R. and Lilly Barnard Green. She was a graduate of Oglesby High School and married Guy L. Rogers on December 8, 1936 in Gatesville, Texas. He preceded her in death April 27, 1994. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Survivors include her son, Ross W. Rogers and wife Judy of Crawford; grandchildren, Travis and Clayton and a sister, Freda Patrick of San Antonio. Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
