Dorothy Pearl Hall October 2, 1913 - July 7, 2012 Dorothy Pearl Hall of Waco passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Chris Mesa officiating. Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 12, at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce, Texas. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Dorothy was born October 2, 1913, in Commerce to Milton and Alice Hall. She graduated from Commerce High School and East Texas State Teachers College, and received her graduate studies from Baylor University. She taught 36 years in the Waco ISD; primarily at Dean Highlands and Lake Waco elementary schools. Dorothy completed her teaching career as a Special Ed. Supervisor. She was a member of Texas Retired Teachers, Delta Kappa Gamma and Beta Sigma Phi. Dorothy was a member of Austin Avenue United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Opal Treloar; and two brothers, Winfred and Marlin Hall. She is survived by her nephew, Cary Hall and wife, Jean, of San Antonio; her two nieces, Jennifer and Shannon Hall; and many dear friends. Honorary pallbearers are the men of the Friendship Sunday School Class at Austin Avenue United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels at Austin Avenue United Methodist Church.
