Earline Snow Smith August 16, 1922 - November 28, 2011 Earline Smith of Allen, beloved Mother and Friend, passed away November 28, 2011. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the The Right Rev. Frank Gentsch, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Earline Snow Smith was born August 16, 1922 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Alcie Mae and Lonnie H. Farned from Okolona, Mississippi. Earline and her sisters, Lavern and Mable, spent their childhood growing up and attending school in Okolona, Mississippi. After graduation, the family moved to Mobile, Alabama. At the age of eighteen, Earline married William Trice Dunn and had two children, Norma Faye and William Lawrence. After the marriage dissolved, Earline moved to St. Louis in the early 1950's, and worked at Scott AFB. She met and married John E. Snow and added son, John Ronald, to her family. Her husband was transferred to James Connally AFB in Waco, TX in 1952. Earline worked at the base bookstore until the family moved to Morocco, Africa in 1959 until 1961 when they returned to Waco. Earline went back to work as the manager of the bookstore until its closing in 1965. Before retiring, she worked as the manager at the bookstore for McLennan Community College. She loved to travel, and had visited 14 foreign countries. She frequently hosted parties where she would entertain guests with extravagant dinners. Earline belonged to Eastern Star, Beauceant, Daughters of the Nile, several dance clubs and card clubs. She and her husband, John, were very active in Shriner and Masonic activities. John E. Snow passed away August 17, 1979. Earline met and married Charles Bruce Smith in July 1981. Her life seemed complete with Bruce, and the addition of his 3 sons into her family brought great love and joy. She and Bruce dedicated their lives to serving the community through their work with the Scottish Rite and Masonic philanthropy. Before his death in January 2005, Earline spent her retired years with the man she would call the Love of her Life. Preceded in death are her parents Alcie Mae and Lonnie H Farned; sisters, Mable Haynes and Lavern Olensky; grandchildren, Douglas Diviney, Michael Dunn, Creighton Perez and son-in-law, Cliff Diviney. She is survived by daughter Norma Diviney; sons, William Lawrence Dunn and wife, Annalea, John Ronald Snow and wife, Eleanor, Bruce G Smith and wife, Paula, Scott Smith and wife, Schultzie, and Roger Smith and wife, Stacy. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
