Edith Corinne Bowman October 29, 1906 - May 19, 2015 Edith Corinne Bowman of Waco passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Ridgecrest Retirement Center. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 23, at North Belton Cemetery with Rev. Brian Coats officiating. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, May 22, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Edith was born October 29, 1906, in Hare, Texas, to Elijah and Rhoda Jones Echols. She worked as a seamstress in the alterations department at Sanger Bros., in Dallas. She was a member of the Dallas Cliff Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Dallas and was a member of Central Christian Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Bowman; sisters, Mary Jeanette Mathis and Jewel Campbell; and brothers, Harold Echols and Howard Echols. She is survived by nephew, Frank Mathis and wife, Jane, of Woodway, Texas; grand nieces, Lenora Reece and husband, Bryan, and Catherine Pechon and husband, Jonathan; grand nephew, Ben Mathis; great great nephews, Odin Pechon and Elijah Reece; and by other nieces and nephews.
