WUEBKER, EMMA Emma Mary Koerth Wuebker, 96, went to sleep and woke to grace in the company of her Lord Jesus Wednesday, January 5, 2005. Services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, January 8 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Pastor Gaylon Johnson of Arlington, Texas officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday, January 7 at the funeral home. Mrs. Wuebker was born October 8, 1908 to parents, Bertha Marstaller Koerth and Emil Koerth in Falls County, Texas. She was born, raised and lived her amazing life within a five-mile radius near Cego, Texas. As a young girl she worked in her family’s cotton fields. She married her sweetheart, August “Gus” Wuebker, January 18, 1937. She was a loving wife, a caring mother of two, and an exceptional homemaker on their farm near Cego. She was known for her incredible cooking, especially her famous pies. She ran the Café in Chilton, Texas for twenty years. During this time she developed many cherished friendships, and many people experienced her good cooking and the joy that she brought into every life she touched. Her happy heart and never-ending patience served as an encouragement to all her family and friends. Our sweet loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, companion and friend is seen as a precious angel whose love, joy and inspirational smile and positive attitude will live in our hearts and minds forever. She was a lifetime member of St. John United Church of Christ in Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, August October 18, 1994 and her brother Ben Koerth. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Wuebker Johnson and husband, Ben of Dallas; son, Henry Wuebker of Houston; granddaughter, Crystal Johnson Grider of Dallas; grandsons, Michael Winkelman of Montgomery, Alabama, Byron Winkelman of Farmers Branch, Texas, and Christopher Johnson of Houston; great grandchildren, Marcus, Emily, Courtney, Robert, and Daniel, as well as numerous cherished family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Herman Wuebker, Jr., Cardinal Wuebker, John Westbrook, Rusty Steele, Christopher Johnson, Christopher Grider, Thomas Herrington and Ronnie Schaake.
