Enrique M. Diaz, Sr.

Enrique M. Diaz Sr.,70, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. 

Services will be held at St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic Church on Thursday, May 7th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The rosary and visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6th from 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. 

Enrique was born in Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico, and later became a proud citizen of the United States in the year 2000. He was a master welder and truly a jack of all trades; skilled as a mechanic, carpenter, and gardener. Over the years, he built his family home with his own hands, a testament to his dedication and work ethic. 

He met the love of his life in 1976, and they were united in marriage on May 13, 1978. Enrique was a loyal husband, a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was deeply loved and respected by many throughout the community. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia R. Diaz; his father, Juan Diaz; and his brother, Juan Diaz. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Noemi T. Diaz; his son, Enrique M. Diaz Jr.; his daughters, Veronica Diaz and Angelina Diaz; as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Enrique M. Diaz Jr., Rosa Cortes, Matthew Cortes, Christopher Cortes, Angel Diaz, Victor Valenzuela and led by Julian Enrique Venegas. 

Memorials may be made to the Diaz family through Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Flowers may be delivered to 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco, Texas 76710.
