June 7, 1922 — July 9, 2003

CROCKER, EUGENE C. CHUCK Eugene C. Chuck Crocker, age 81, of Waco passed away Wednesday, July 09, 2003 at a Temple hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11am Friday, July 11 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Roland Timberlake officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Thursday, July 10 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Chuck was born in Lorena on June 7, 1922 to William E. and Lilly Pearl Sims Crocker. He graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School. In 1942 he entered the Naval Aviation Service and upon completion of flight training he served as a Naval Aviator Lieutenant j.g. during WWII. Chuck also attended the University of Georgia as well as the University of Texas. He retired, after 35 years of service, from Owens-Illinois. He was a 50 year member of Fidelis Lodge #1127, A.F. & A.M., Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Chuck was married to Helen Azbell Crocker and together had one son, Billy Chuck Crocker. His parents, five brothers, two sisters and one grandson preceded Chuck in death. Survivors include his wife, Helen Azbell Crocker; son, Billy Chuck Crocker and wife, Marilyn; granddaughter, Kristy Crocker Turner and husband, Mark Turner; grandson, Chad Crocker; the two loves of his life, his great granddaughters, Kirsten Cheyenne Turner and Karoline Grace Turner, brother-in-law, William S. Moore, sister-in-law, Doris Azbell; nephews, Duward Crocker, John Crocker and Billy Lee Azbell, Jr.; nieces, Debbie Hauglun, Sue McAnelly, Linda Murphy and Donna Azbell. Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Hadaway, Henry Hahn, Hubert Schmid, George Lampkin, Donald Dees, Bubba Allison, George Betros as well as all employees of Azbell Electronics.
