Evelyn June Love

Evelyn June Love of Belton, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at home.

Graveside services will be at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum in Tennessee.

In 1961, Evelyn graduated from Unicoi High School in Erwin, Tennessee. She attended East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee and later received a degree from Florida SouthWestern State College in Ft. Myers, Florida. In 1964, she wed her high school sweetheart Bill Love. They were married for 32 years and pastored several churches during those years. She was involved in many church groups and for several years as organist of the various churches they pastored.

Evelyn had numerous job interests over the years, but the one she loved most was Real Estate. She became a realtor in 2000 and received her Real Estate Broker’s license in 2007. Her love of Real Estate was second only to her love for her family. She cherished her daughter and son and her three grandsons. She loved community involvement and was active in many organizations during the years.

One of her earliest community involvements was PTA President at Ed White Middle School in San Antonio, Texas. She felt she was being more involved with her daughter and son in representing their school and participating in their activities. Some of her involvement in the communities they lived were Rotary, Leadership, Ambassadors of the Chamber of Commerce, President of Leadership Waco in 2004 and many Real Estate organizations. Evelyn was an avid reader and always inspired to become a published writer.

Evelyn was preceded in death by Bill Love, her husband of 32 years, her parents Robert and Carma Edwards of Erwin, Tennessee; one brother, Robert Charles (RC) Edwards, Jr. of Erwin; sister-in-law, Dorothy McBride Edwards; several uncles and aunts.

She is survived by one daughter, Deanna Marie Lovesmith and Bruce Lovesmith of Belton, Tx; one son, William Doran Love, Il and Kelly Love of Dallas, Tx; grandsons, Brady Robert Love and Trent Doran Love of Dallas, Tx.; Austin Woods Lovesmith of Belton, Tx; one sister Charlotte Jean Tapp and Donald Tapp of San Antonio, Tx. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
