Frances Rene Reynolds, 74, of Waco, returned to God on Monday, January 5, 2026.

A funeral service to honor Rene Reynolds life will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, located at 6101 Bosque Boulevard, Waco, TX 76710

Rene was born in Waco, Texas in 1951 to Joseph Daniel Bearden and Wilma Hazel Bearden.

Rene was a devoted Christian who cherished her Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ. She attended Columbus Baptist Church of Waco, Texas, and took solace in knowing the Lord was watching over her.

Rene met the love of her life, Ted Reynolds, and they were married for 20 wonderful years until he passed 2019. She would call their love a "once in a lifetime love" and while their time together on this earth was cut short, they are reunited now for eternity.

Rene loved the beach, good movies, especially classics, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Rene touched the lives of those around her with her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing the challenges of her illness, she remained a beacon of hope and inspiration to all who knew her.

Rene loved deeply and was deeply loved. We would like to give a special thanks to her Bible group who took such excellent care of her and walked with her through her cancer treatment. She would laugh and say she was treated like a queen.

Rene was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Wilma Bearden, sisters, Dana Bearden and Cathy Hough, and her beloved husband Ted Reynolds.

She is survived by her brother Joseph Bearden, and his wife Yvonne, along with many other family and friends who will miss her.

Rene's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who love her.
