Frank Orta Montoya passed away peacefully Monday, January 24, 2022. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Fr. Benjamin Magnaye officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6:00 pm followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Frank was born December 3, 1936, in Asa, Texas, to Miguel and Rumolda Orta Montoya. He was a lifelong custom cabinet maker. He lived for his wife and family, cherished the times with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a passionate accordion player who loved performing for family and friends and watching a good sporting event. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nancy Gonzalez, Balentina Lopez, and Janie Bravo. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary T. Montoya; daughter, Christine M. Rodriguez, of Waco; sons, Marty Montoya and wife, Laura, of Hewitt, Lawrance Montoya and wife, Lisa, of Eastvale, California, Edward Montoya, of Waco, and Patrick Montoya and wife, Yasmine, of West; sisters, Tommie Rodriquez, of Hewitt, Isabelle Contreras and husband, Frank, of Diamond Bar, California, Mary Leos, of McGregor, and Aurelia Montoya, of McGregor; along with many brothers- and sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and longtime friends.
