Harriett Ann Real

Harriett Ann Real, 78, passed away on July 31, 2025, at Brookdale Lakeshore Assisted Living in Waco, Texas.

Harriett Ann Nagel was born on March 11, 1947, in Denver, Colorado. She grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she attended Pomona Elementary School, Fruita Monument High School, and later Pasadena College. Shortly after, she married Richard Real on November 23, 1972. They shared 48 wonderful years of marriage.

Harriett was a dedicated and amazing teacher at R-5 High School in Grand Junction, Colorado, where she worked for over 30 years. After retiring in 2004, she and Richard moved to Eastport, Maine. Still passionate about education, she returned to the classroom, teaching for several more years at Shead High School in Eastport. In 2015, she officially retired and moved with Richard to Waco, Texas.

She is survived by her brother, Henry Nagel; her son, John Real; her daughter, Aimie Venegas; her grandchildren, Courteney Collins, Jacob Real, Janessa Venegas, and Miles Venegas; and her great-grandson, Greyson Diaz.
